This was my first time attending an MGJC conference. The workshops were conducted in Cavalese, Italy in the spectacular Dolomite Alps. The workshops provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience using the MAGI Labs suite of gemmological instrumentation, in my opinion a highlight of the event. The speakers at the conference held in Piran, Slovenia were amazing. Their understanding and experience in their respective fields was impressive and reignited my passion for gems and gem testing. I highly recommend the Mediterranean Gemmological and Jewellery Conference to all gemmologists and jewellers.

“I cannot begin to express to you how much appreciation I have for Branko and his team. All your diligence in organizing every detail of the conference did not go unnoticed. The education was enlightening, and workshops were a great opportunity to handle so much material in one space and time. The other attendees and post conference tours were a joy. It is a trip I will never forget.
A sincere thank you.”

“Every year there are several gemological and appraisal conferences, but the one I look forward to the most is the MGJC. Without a doubt this conference has the best speakers and the most relevant and current information from a gemological perspective. The lineup of speakers is a who’s who of people in our industry who are all experts in their field. I also learn just as much from the other attendees, which include scientists, chemists, and people with advanced doctorate degrees.
The great education combined with incredible venues make this the one conference that can not be missed. ”

“It’s my 3rd time coming to MGJC and I like it as a mixture of science
and trade in the topics as well as the participants, and with hands-on
practical workshops, which is very rare nowadays but essential to keep
up with latest developments. Thank you
for inviting me to talk about Precision Cuts and of course the very
well organized social events..”

“Conference in Cyprus had a very good line up of speakers, skilled and versatile, a huge variety of interesting people, plus activities. We had a post-conference trip to Israel, getting in the heart of the diamond business in Tel Aviv, visiting Diamond bourse and Sarine. I learn so much about colored stones. It’s being privilege to be second time part of MGJC.”

“This conference was an absolute blast of a time that has left me with new insights into this ever evolving industry. From the out of the box location to the engaging workshops and finishing with the excellent balance of technical, academic and commercial presenters. The high standard of speakers along with the hands on workshops and equipment demonstrations has been invaluable. I would whole heartedly recommend this conference to anyone in the industry going forward.”

“This very intense conference has been a MUST for updating the newest developments and identification methods for diamonds, especially in all the synthetic and HPHT fields. Also very important I found the possibility of hands-on training with very good handheld and advanced scientific equipment, to decide what is necessary for identification now and in the future. We also enjoyed the very nice excursions after the seminars in the beautiful mediterranean setting.”

“The Mediterranean Gemmological and Jewellery Conference was one of the best conferences I’ve attended in a very long time. The quality of the speakers, the hands-on experiences, the opportunity to meet with gemologists from all over the world, and the very lovely location, made it memorable in many ways. But most important, I left feeling I’d really learned A LOT and made wonderful new friends in various facets of the field. I look forward to the Fourth Conference!”

“Thank you very much for the very-well organized conference and workshops. It was really great to participate. Everything went very smoothly, super location, interesting speakers and round table, full range of diamond industry participation (producers, jewellers, appraisal, labs), good-looking conference proceedings, good collection of stones and equipment etc. Count on me for next year!”

“It is not common to be able to freely mix business with pleasure, but my time at the MGJC Conference in Valencia was one of those rare occasions. From the outset it was obvious that the organisers had paid attention to detail at the planning stage. Everything, from the initial registration to the final departure ran like clockwork. Receiving fresh information from some of the world’s industry leaders is not only interesting but will of course ultimately add to my business’ bottom line. I was particularly impressed how all the lectures were simultaneously translated live via headphones by a team of translators at the rear of the room. This, to me, demonstrated a totally delegate-focused approach by Branko and George and I am sure was welcomed by those for whom English was not their first language.
From a personal point of view, I very much enjoyed meeting Jewellery Valuers from other part of the world, exchanging ideas and yes… building friendships. Many of the people I had met for the first time in Valencia have gone on to be firm friends and business partners who I very much look forward to seeing again in Italy in 2017.”
